Pigtails

Pigtails normally consist of a length of 900um buffered fibre cable, which has been terminated with a connector at one end. The connector end of the Pigtail is connected to the inside of a Patch Panel via an inline adaptor. The bare end fibre is fusion spliced onto an external fibre cable.

Pigtails are made available in a combination of different lengths with different connectors and fibre. Standard Pigtails are usually manufactured with multimode 62.5/125, 50/125 or 9/125 Single mode cables.
